Boz's MkII

I have decided to start a thread, Might keep me motivated lol.

Well the story so far...
Well i was looking for my first car and I wanted something square looking. After surfing eBay for awhile I came across an escort. Was a MkII 4door 2L. I started looking more and more at Escorts and I fell in love with em. One day one turned up on eBay for the right price so I got it. Was in Dubbo (7-8hour drive from my place) so my dad and I got a trailer and went to pick it up. Was told that it wasn't that bad and wouldn't take much work to get it back on the road - well thats where the fun started!

Good points: 78k km. Had nice rims. Was pretty straight. Interior Was livable. Extractors.
Bad points: Hole in the zorst (had 2 hotdogs made a mean sound). Windscreen cracked. Calipers ceased. Drums ceased. mastercylender leaked. Fuel tank leaked. Radiator clogged. Thermostat no good. Steering rack rooted. Starter motor no go. Diff. Thats about all i can think of atm but Im sure there way more.

WELL... after a 7months of work it passed roadworthy. This is how it looked just before it passed

Since then its had a 2.5inch extractors back single sports muffler zorst system. Windows tinted. Interior painted black. Black and White personalized numberplate's. Bonnet painted mat black. Gas struts fitted to the bonnet to get rid of the bonnet stay. Sports steering wheel.

Future plans are to fit the forest flares that live in my bedroom. And fit a zetec engine and everything that goes with doing that. Will leave the crappy paint job its got cause I plan on keeping it long term and will have it down to bare metal in a few years when Im finished uni. As long as its a reliable good looking car I will be happy.

I purchased an EB series II wagon CHEAP to pull the diff out of, LSD 28spline 4pinion, disc brakes. So i will pull that out have it shortened, will make it a bit wider than an escort diff so my flares are filled without crazy offset and fit 3.9 ratio gears.

And yeah thats about it atm . Will get some updated pics up when i locate a camera.

Any comments or idea advice are welcome.
Thanks for reading =)

The fronts don't have to come out too far. A guy who lives 1 town over owns a RS2000 2dr with a NA cossie, who also had a forest arched escort said just run rear wheel offset rims on the front and with hoppers stoppers kit it should be more than enough.

Nope. cause I'm lazy. Na its really because the car is my daily drive. I was told i shouldn't try doing my car up while I'm driving it, but i said yeah yeah yeah she'll be right. But i understand now.

But i have saved up quite a large sum of moneys to do stuff to the esky and i think out of that money im going to have to buy another car. in that there is another problem... space. I have nowhere for another car or to work on my esky =( i really need to move out of home.

But im still determined to make my esky awesome, well more awesome than it already is, but this is going to be a long term project. If i get it the way i want it by the time im finished uni (2014) LOL! i will be happy.

hey doing up your daily isn't impossible, its just not too practical. i have done mine and only ever had to not use the car when i got it painted. other than that with some good planning and doing stuff right the first time it can be done. wait till u start braking stuff. then it gets interesting.

Mish im going to blame you for my points deciding to give up =P you jinxed me... jokes. I had to miss work cause she broke lol.

Here we go i got off my ass and took some new pics the other day.

The orange is really dull... when i repaint i would like to go something a lil brighter. I cant remember which user it was but he/she uploaded a pic it was part or a orange Mk1 and I loved it.

Ordered stuff from smacka and off eBay ectect and I should have everything i need to redo all the suspension soon. soon for me probably means a month LOL!

lol, spewin u missed work dude, and yeah agreed with zac, ive got electronic aswell, all it means is the less you have to tune the easier tuning is!

nice window tint + yeah thats real nice scenery you took the esky to.

ever noticed ur plates say BOZ 831? in other words: BOSS 831 haha

    lame..

good luck with everything youve got planned, shell be an amazing thing to drive if all goes well.

im hoping mine to end up as a semi-trackbuilt run around.
