Hey Guys, For everyone that already done this conversion what brake pads are you using? Have my conversion kit, my R31 calipers are rebuilt repainted and everything is mounted and lining up. That is except if i try to fit the brake pads, then it is way too tight. Have to bash the caliper over the rotors which means i have something wrong. My two guesses are not having screwed the pistons down far enough into the calipers (though they both seem happy where they are) or i have the wrong pads which are too thick. Anyone have any clearance issues? PS Big props to Paul and his kits. Everything fits and the instructions are fantastic. I bought a stage 2 retro ford zetec kit and while the parts are great, a simple idea like a parts list and some instructions make all the difference in the world. Cheers paul!

Hi Lee. Yes make sure pistons are screwed all the way back into the body. Who rebuilt the calipers as is it possible to get the pistons installed on the wrong side and hence won't retract correctly? I haven't had anyone else raise this issue. PS Thanks for the kind words.

Sorry to keep spamming this thread, but I'm having a bit of difficulty with the PM service. I've been a member for over three days, and have made 3 posts, and it's still not active for my account? Is this normal? Sorry to be the annoying new guy. Is there any chance I could get you to send your email address via PM Paul? That way I can at least respond! Cheers!
