Wades MK2 new pics pg 3

hey guys my name is wade i had a user on here a few years ago when i had my first escort but i think it got deleted. but anyway story goes my first escort was a mk2 4dr 2ltr heavily worked. i lost my job had no where to live so i had to sell it to a member on here called red pepper??? anyway the day i sold it i regreted it so i have been on the hunt ever since for another one.

Over easter me and my mate were driving around went down a side street and saw a 1976 mk2 4dr 1300 auto sitting in a driveway looking kind of sorry so we stopped and thought we would talk to the guy and i say "hey can i have this car for free?" and he said yes! only if i beat the other guy to it. so we jumped in his ute and grabbed a car trailer and towed it to my dads.

will get more pics up this weekend interior is all fooked but there isnt much rust. my plans are to try and get this motor running (hasnt been started in six years) and get a 2ltr and manual trans in her. the only down side is my old man has only given me untill xmas to get it off his property. but hopefully it will be running this weekend.

also he gave me a free set of mags 13 by 7 csa which looked a bit sad when i got them but after 2 days of polishing they came up like this.

thanks man hopefully will we tested everything all cylenders have spark checked the points all the wiring all works bit worried about the fuel tank might have a heap of poo poo in it.

will all the wiring plug straight in if i put a pinto in? i cant find any threads on pinto conversions that have very much info.

All you really need to do for a 2.0 swap is cut the rad top panel to move radiator forwards, and extend the alt and coil wires to the other side, your starter is correct so thats done. depends on carby you'll need a std 2.0 throttle cable, its 10inch longer. if the 'box is from a 1600 you will need to space the clutch fork 12mm or use a Cortina 2ltr box.
Nice rims...i had a set of those but were 13x9's !

id love a set of 8x13s i wanna run them on my mk2 i want them hanging outa the guards !!!! i checked out a pair of 13x8s today down Adelaide at a place that import japnise spare parts and the guy wanted $400 wich sounds resonoable seing as there real hayashi street fins only problem is im going to have to get spacers to change my stud pattern sorry for hijacking your thread with this wade il start a thread in the wheels section for this sorry

I asked my mate and he'll sell them soon as a set, 2x8's, 2x9's, they have rubber(just) as were on a 3.0L mk2 capri 'S', not sure the asking price as yet.

If no one else buys these wheels I would be interstedas these are the wheels that were run on IYK OOO
