just my opinion from someone who has done it on 2 shells

MMMM food for thought brother! The second time I've heard that in the last few days! thanks! def noted!

I just today visited the project which is currently with Lance @ WALKER Chassis and the full-cage is looking the business with all suspension points now permanently linked with an artwork of tubing. At 1st inspection he has again done another sensational job, cage is tight up on the body with some penetrating welds deep in the heart of some difficult angles I presented to him.

The driver and passenger seating provided by VELO now have a home to accommodate my actual 6ft torso with ease.

STAY TUNED FOR PICS TO COME!

I thought I would double check. I'm pressing the wheel bearings onto the 1/2 shafts, is this the correct way with the o-ring on the inside and the lock ring (not pictured) then on the outer side.

Doesnt really matter what side the o-ring is but it should be towards the wheel rather than the diff. The o-ring does bugger all anyway. The lock collar goes on last.

I went with a BMW Alpine white......I'm sure you'll agree it came up well. Manchester Crash repair here is Adelaide did the final spray job and I'm pretty stoked with the finnished product!

The 2L & Type 9 are mated together and ready to be dropped in!

After a wrestle with my old cortina sump and WC X-Member found I needed a new RS sump, had a new cast AL sump ordered and engine in soon after, relatively hastle free.

Webber linkage and intake manifold all set up

Next problem...standard steering coupling is knocking on the cross member...GRP4 steering coupling needed?

Great stuff and yes, the GRP4 steering coupler will fix your problem.

Cheers,

Matt
