Another couple. One showing the finished spot lights and the other the relay bank that runs then. All the front lights are now relayed and the feeds fused individually. One does the low beam, one the high beam, one each for the spotties and the final makes sure the spotties only come on when the high beam is selected.

Tachometric relay fitted. All the fuses and relays are now in. Intercom wired in. Fuel pumps fitted and wired in. Pickup from the freshly painted capri tank removed and replaced with a larger 10mm one. Throttle cables fitted. Brake fluid reservoirs plumbed in and fitted. Labeled all the switches on the console.

Box for the battery should be here next week. Next job is running the fuel line to the engine bay and planning the layout of the brake lines.

Head for the engine should be ready on Wednesday. Once the head is fitted to the block the engine will be fitted.

Hi Mate,

Love the speedo.  What brand and what was involved to fit it?

Great stuff.  Keep at it.

Matt

Its a 100mm VDO. I'll link up the exact model when i get home from work. You need a dremel and a holesaw to get it in. Did a test run on a standard dash before modding the rs one. I needed the new speedo as the five speed has the speedo drive blanked off. It'll run off the sensor for the tripmeter.

Cool, Thanks.

Do you know what the hole in the dash is standard?

My Tacho has packed it in and am thinking of going aftermarket.  I know your is a speedo but I think the holes are the same size.

Cheers

Engine is in. Cam and tappets still need fine tuning so the cam cover is off. Twin webers and dizzy fitted. Extractors should go on next week. They've been off being measured up and copied. If anyone is chasing a set, send me a PM but they're NOT cheap.

Still trying to figure out where everything in the engine bay will end up being mounted. Fun fun.

Did a full electrical test today. 95% of stuff is working. Three gauge lights aren't lighting up along with some very minor earthing issues with two new circuits. Very happy.

Other stuff done. Radiator fitted. Oil cooler fitted and plumbed. Overflow bottle fitted and plumbed. Thermo fan and controller fitted. Fuel lines complete to engine bay. Pressure reg fitted. Clutch cable fitted.

Still to do. Washer bottle and washer jets. Catch can and plumbing. Coil. Fit exhaust. Plumb brakes. Install hydra hand brake. Plus more things i'm sure.

Worked out the earthing glitches today. Plumbed in the oil pressure gauge in the console. Tested the spot lights.

Some pics in the dark.

And my working document of squiggly lines.
