Well it's nearly the end of February and the engine isn't done yet. It's been decked and bored to suit the new pistons and currently the flywheel is being doweled to the crank so it can be balanced.

Brakes have arrived. They're a little bigger than normal. [:x)]

I've done a little more body work to suit the rear fuel tank. Just need to weld a couple of straps in so I can mount the tank and that should hopefully be it for welding. The welding has delayed the final paint job a bit but I'm now full of enthusiasms as I now have a collection of new bright shiny things to bolt to the car.

do we still need to change the rear panel for the fuel tank?

if we do, just let me know your shifts and I will come round and measure it up when it suits

Mmm... Brakes...

There are plenty more shiny things to point the camera at. Just need to fit them to the car.

Brackets to hold the Capri tank in place in the boot are done. Hopefully that's the last bit of welding on the shell. Top of the rear firewall is all sealed up. Now for bog, sanding and paint.

On a brighter note, DHL rang. My new gearbox has arrived from the UK.

I've decided to change things around a little. I've sourced a Holden v6 and gearbox to fit instead of the pinto. Should be interesting.

Pretty confident you will find thats a joke mate, I have met Steve a couple of times and he isn't a muppet! only a muppet would do such a shocking thing as drop a sh!theap v6 into a escort.
