Seeing as it's a windy day, I've rolled the shell out for a clean, dusting and a few pics. These are the first pics i've had of the car outside since I stripped the shell a year and a bit ago. It's gone from this to this ... .. in a space not much bigger than the car.

Like the comparison in the first two shots... has come a long way. Do I spy body filler now? Must be getting close to paint? Shaun

Paint is getting closer The rear firewall is tacked in along the top and bottom. Hopefully it'll be finished Friday then that's it for fabrication. Seeing the car in sunlight pointed out a few areas that need some attention prior to putting the filler coat on. There's a few bits i've missed stripping wise.

Well done Steve. I've enjoyed watching the transformation. What colour are you intending to paint it?

I do have a couple of colours in mind but haven't really made up my mind yet. Suggestions?

They look the absolute dogs bollocks in red or white. If you go for white, see if you can get hold of some RS1800 stripe decals (two tone blue) and apply then on the swage lines at the bottom of the doors, guards and rear quarter panel

this does NOT deserve an ordinary paint job!
1 vote for a mettalic colour of some sort, or atleast something with depth!
have a look around at all the brand new cars. some of there colours are just BEAUTIFUL!
suggestion - Toyotas Mettalic/Pearl white! ive only seen in on a landcruiser before, and when you see it, you wont mistake it for white. its pearly on the body curves, and has a really nice sparkle to it.
