Owen,

If you are unable to get the trims straightened I have a NOS one (can't remember which side I have). If you don't need it, Ron (CapriSpecial) may be interested.

Cheers

Excellent work, we haven't got many Mk1s left over here, so its good to see one that will be as good as it was, when it rolled off the line. Finn.

Have you decided on what wheels you'll be using Owen? Being a GT XLR are you doing any blackouts (bonnet etc)?

hey Cam how you been? wheels well thats a hard one. Ive got a set of 13x6 globes, 13x6 minilights off mums car( ive got a set of rostyles coming for hers) 13x6 rs 4 spokes, but i haven't decided if i want a set of v4 mesh Simmons colour coded or a set of 13x7 lotus steelies.
What do you all of you think? or i use the wheels ive ordered for my v6 16x7 gold superlites. Still undecided on the black outs. might do them but in charcoal but i was going to do all to chrome trim in charcoal for now. and when i get around to it, it will have a vinyl roof so it might have to much black. i welcome peoples coments on the wheels and blackouts.Cheers O.

Well, last week I was flooded in and squirting out both ends. Hey, you asked. [:p]

I like the sound of the RS 4 spokes. Agree the black outs (other than rear panel) may be too much with the vinyl roof.

Vinyl roofs come in more colors than just black you know. I reckon the light tan would look great with that green. Gold wheels too, wow![^]

Not wishing to sound like what we call a "Barry Boy" here in the UK (hat on backwards, big boom box, oversize exhaust bolt on pipe, and driving God supremo) but could you go for 15s and drop her down a tad, fill those arches a bit more? Paul.

hey finn, bigger wheels would be great, but im spending most of my money on bits for my red v6. and the wheels listed are what i have lying around. I got some work done on the weekend. but the pics havn't turned out very well. Headling is in. wiring harness from the fire wall back is in, heater box in, wiper motor in windows in, clutch and brake pedal painted and in with new bushes, all the boot and interior has been sealed and coated in 2pak. The oil pump, well i have decieded to get the block redrilled and taped so the in the future it will take a standard pump. so by next weekend i should a motor and box ready to go in, and all the externall trim painted and fitted.Fingers crossed i'll have photos next week if i dont have to do another 60 hour week at work. cheers Owen

For what it's worth, I'd agree with the above.
