Been a busy Christmas and new year... finally got a few more things completed. Cage is has now been bolted in. I string lined the chassis and suspension points up, and its amazing how far things can be out from where they are meant to be. I have now positively located the engine cross member to the square to the chassis. Diff had a final fitment and double check of clearances before final welding. Also bought some fish oil... I hope to do the chassis rails etc this week, then its off the rotisserie for good.

not much progess again.. been side tracked with another car.[:o)] have fishoiled everything. damn messy job, and even the unscented stuff stinks. Have had the hilux axles plugged again, due to the first drillings being out of wack. Had them remachined and have made up a spigot to suit the wheel centres and the nissan disks. So I now can be assured the wheels will run true. Have to shorten the axle now as they dont fit with the clutch pack lsd fitted, also Im in the process on making up some caliper brackets. Hopefully will have it sorted this week. Have also mounted fuel lines and pump / filter assy.

hi mate, how come you had to shorten the axels? very interested in what youve done here as i am looking to do exactly the same, also are you interested in making a second set of those brackets? Shea

Shea, as I shortened the housing, the axles would only fit in with the open centre, the clutch packs are blocking the holes with the lsd in.
I can give you a drawing for the brackets if interested, cant be 100% they would be suitable but will give you a few dimensions.. making them.. unfortunately I barely have enough time up my sleeve to make things I need
