send it off mate there is nothing wrong with getting a professional job if you are not up for it. Just pick the place carefully.

Great work by the way

Glenn - no shame in outsourcing the paint work as the prep is the hard yakka!

I also wanted to proudly state the DIY point but have decided long ago that I would not have the time or equipment to end up with the result I'm expecting. I will do all the rust repairs and the panel shop can iron out the imperfections and give it back all shiny

yeah.. no hiring.

closest panel shop is 25km away, add another 20 to the next option.

just real annoyed with the weather... I painted this to make space in the shed so I could start work on mine. Came out pretty good, the escort will be a lot easier and quicker being a solid colour.

Its the old mans, may be an overbored 1275.. I wasn't about when the engine went together, plus its all weird mini stuff so i really have nfi [:x)]

After a meeting today with my closest panel beater... got a strong feeling Ill still end up doing it myself, he cant give a fixed price which i can understand, but I cant justify paying someone by the day/hour with out seeing the work actually getting done.

Ill pray for sunshine

thanks Phil.. yeah, its olympic blue, I decided a while ago on the colour but seems its to be popping up everywhere recently. lemans green also had crossed my mind, along with about 100 other colours.

being a factory ford colour... there are 2 things now that still remain ford

Sun is out and about again

Took all last weekend to clean out the shed after 2months of odd jobs which meant tools and crap everywhere.

got a final coat inside and underneath yesterday... did my hoodlining, parcel shelf and cage today.
