waxhead: I hadnt even thought about doing it until 2 weeks ago. plus with all the grind and weld splater it would have needed to be stripped again anyhows Shaun: I used a large unit as pictured... for about 15minutes. had to unblock it 3 times, had blown a hole through one of the ball valves and not to mention my old compressor couldnt feed it enough, In the end I used a little 19buck one from the hardware... slow, but much less hassle and more control. not much else to show for the weekend, trying to finish up everything at the front of the car so i can get it in undercoat gas struts mounted.. and work! tubing the chassis for new xmember mounting

That looks like it is going to be an impressive piece of machinery! Hours of work there... Looks like you have rear mounted your rack? I have had to do the same to get my 3SGTE in my mk1 2dr and I am weighing up options of what rack to use. Can you point me in the direction of something that might be suitable... Keep up the good work :]

Yeah, thats correct.. the whole front has been reversed. the rack is still an escort item, but its from a LHD. Hope it helps Not much been else been happening.. more blasting, which is turning out to be lots of work though, and learen't a lesson... keep mixing the paint in the pot... I ended up with some seperation of the 2k primer, and have nasty patches of hardener and runs everywhere. Topped of a pretty poo poo weekend really :( progress
