thanx phil it looks better in the pics than in person atm [88] but with time and a bit more money all that will be fixed dont suppose anyone wants 3 wheels? not sure of the offset but pretty sure they came off some kind of fwd shopping trolley. they are only a few years old so wouldn't be that hard to find a fourth. i just want them gone

Hi, nice looking project you have there. Keep up the pics.
There will be others on here that know more about them, but the black wheels look like minilite or superlite style. Which I believe you can still buy new from a few different manufacturers.
What size are the wheels your moving on? I think it says R16 on that tire. And where are you?

the black wheels came off a jap import drift car thats why there is only 2 of them, haven't seen that style around as its a two piece wheel not a one piece like superlights, minilights. if i can source 2 more of the black ones ill stay with the 16s, if i cant find them ill look at either 15s or 16s, whatever comes up at the right price at the right time im in Sydney, the pics could be a little slow as the progress has been rather slow as im trying to source more and more expensive parts for the cosworth but as i go along ill be sure to post updates

not sure on the story with the arches as i got the car with them already fitted, not entirely happy with them as they dont appear to have been done properly, whatever filler was used is starting to shrink. when it goes to the body shop it will be re-done properly. looks like you might be right on the wheels, its either them or a very good copy. the search is on for two fronts now

Yes Watanabes. These should be available at just about any wrecker that sells jap import stuff. I think the bolt pattern is different than escort (114pcd?) so if your bolts have been changed then wheels to suit escort wont fit.

I had those same rear archs on my shell when bought it, they were quickly removed! If your re painting and re doing the archs i would go steel and not look back... only 80 pounds each and it will look like a genuine ford avo mk1!
good luck with the project

the arches will stay till i decide on colour but when they are getting done they will def. be steel [}:)] wow who would have thought there is so many versions (copies) of these wheels. i might have to bite the bullet and look at uk for wheels

It is a very nice blue, maybe just loose the white stripes? [;^)]
