Are those spacer blocks (2 inch?) between the crossmember and rails?

The crossmember is dropped to fit the fj cus its such a tall engine...

I think the blocks r roughly 35-40mm from looking the other day im sure dayne will confirm...

The car looks awsuml in person... all brand new bolts through out powdercoated everything that can be guna be a shame to get it dirty driving on the street haha. Craig has done an awsum job with the car

Thanks for the kind comments guys muchly appreciated. Its coming along nicely and the work is always top notch from craig and a top bloke.
But this cant compare to phils cortina or Fahley's mk1 there two top notch cars and cant go past a cosworth.

But as mentioned and said is correct. without thoes spaces the engine moreless was hitting the crossmember allowing me no room for a sump. So thats why the blocks were put in and got sort of like a 2piece sump made as shown in old pages.

Will be poping down on friday to see how its goin will post some more pictures if there is any progress.

Thanks again guys, Dayne

Well not to much of an update but all underneath is now basically done only just a few bits and pices left.
Only have one picture and thats of the front brakes which have turned out very nice and the best part about it all
is that it all fits, wheels just fit in the guards aswell. End result is very good and well worth it

That tyre profile is deceiving...
Are you going to lower the rear?

Wow, nice conversion for sure! the colour is so nice, love it.
The rims do create a bit of an illusion. Because the silver lip works its way to the centre, from a distance it makes the rims look smaller in diameter than what they really are.
