Thanks guys, its the first time ive actually got to stand back and look at in the sun being somewhat of a complete car and must say iam very happy with the way it all looks.
You lose motivation throughout the build but when you its so close just wanna get it registed asap now. Only just fiddle bits and pices now.

The bottles are mounted above the pedal box underneath the dash

So i havent been on here for a while as nothing major has changed, just been chipping away at the fiddly bits for when it comes to roadworthy and re registering it. I have been getting stuffed around lately so it would probably of been on the road about a month ago if you could rely on people.

while i still hack away i thought i would get the boot finished off and trimmed so it still some what moving along.

only waiting on one more part which i have been told will take "1-2weeks" but iam not holding my breath and then ill be getting it registed and tuned. It wont be 100% complete but will look complete to everyone els. Just sick of waiting and is so close so ill fix up the small things once its on the road

New site looks good by the way

hey guys

well a bit of an exciting update, took the day off to take my car down to get registered and is know back on the road again after 5-6years.
Feels some what good and exciting knowing that is nearly finished off but still have some fiddly things to take care of but nothing major

fingers crossed i can get it in to finally get it tuned again within the next few weeks, and then time to finally start enjoying driving it again

so after tune attempt 3 iam still having dramas with boosting so late and doesnt see full boost until about 5500-6000rpm and only making 250hp @ 14ps. So got over it and pulled all bolt on side of things off to find no wastegate valve seat which explains the boosting problem and done a pressure test on the system and all is good now. Also think the cam's a dialed in to late which is also making it very laggy but see how we go

So with a bit of luck i can get in to get a tune next week and hopefully get better results as this is starting to become an expensive exercise.

positive note finally have finished the interior and turned out pretty good

Pretty good?! I reckon that looks bloody sensational
That interior looks like a super place to be. You've done a quality job on the whole car, its very, very impressive.

so its finally tuned but still with disappointing results,

after the last dyno it made 249-250 on 14psi, so when i got home i pressure tested the system finding two decent leaks
one coming from the back of the front housing of the turbo, and another coming from inbetween the intake manifold and the engine. I also pulled my wastegate  to find no wastegate seat in there which explains why it was boosting so late

To fix the turbo leak instead of pulling the front cover off and putting the O-ring its probably missing i just decided to upgrade to a GTX35R, after doing this i had no leaks and was ready for the dyno yet again.

The tuner started tuning it on 14psi again and still could only manage to get 251 @ 14  but was coming on boost good now, was starting to get annoyed because i believe it should of been making around the 290ish mark on that if not a bit more. so i hooked the boost solenoid and decided to tune it on 25psi hoping to see well over the 400hp mark.
After about 3hrs could only manage 364hp atw. Dont get me wrong its more then enough in a escort but the money ive put into this and comparing it to similar setups that other people are running and achieving that sort of power on 18-20psi it is annoying the crap out of me.
for now iam over it, so ive just been driving it and is fun to drive doesn't feel unsafe or dangerous is nice to drive but will be going back to the drawing board.

It is also having heating problems so iam looking at changing a few things up, gonna make custom maybe thinner intercooler and run it on the bottom so i can change the intercooler piping to allow more room for a bigger filter and more air to get to it, and unfortunately i may look at cutting holes in the front like most common people do with turboed escorts, really dont want to but dont want to cook the engine at the same time as it got up to 104degrees yesteday.

thought i would get your opinion if i go down the track of opening up the front end, pretty much the most common ones out there which way do you reckon i should go? and threw a picture in of the new piece of billet that i put on my car.

hopefully it will all work the way it should one day but for now its gonna have to do
