life on mars...

well not really, but close!

my dad just picked this up during the week, 45000 miles, one owner, the front seats are mint under those lovely covers. everything is as it was the day it left the showroom. he has decided it is getting a complete respray soon though, just to bring it back up to what it should be...

    Nice pick up.

One of the local kids just bought an orange one with a black roof, bumpers. It's got factory "contessa" alloys and spot lights, it's like bloody new!

Will get some pics next time I see it.

paint has been organised now just waiting on some time to do it! dad and his mate finally today have the roll out of the galaxie they just finished. so i think next weekend the cortina heads up there to get started on. dad is after some unique wheels for it, something euro, any suggestions? i have a couple of ideas but cant find much here...

the old fart who sold it, no idea how old! but even my dad said he was old (my dad just turned 60) so i think we can say old old!

there were plans to drop a windsor in it, but i think dad has realised betterto keep it standard. plus the spare windsors we have are mine!
