Mate thats art in metal. Who would have thought that you could open the door that way? I used to drool over a triumph herald because the bonnet opened that way. Good on you mate. Salute![^][^]

you know wat would look killah on this thing, besides the suicide doors? the doors that go upwards, like a delorian. they make it reasonably easy to climb into the seat, cause u can climb in from a higher angle than normal doors, make it a lot easier towing around the pits cause u dont have to keep closing your doors wen obstacles come up (it gets very hot in the car, obviously, and u dont wanna be towed around with the doors all closed and making it hot inside).

This van is looking absolutely awesome, but I have to agree about the door handle placement. What about the traditional hole in the perspex side windows to access door pull handle... or a discreet push button somewhere?
It's just a minor thing I guess, but overall you are doing an amazing job on this thing and seem to be progressing a good steady pace [^]*Example of hole in side window...

Mate, we all agree it's a gem of a project.
You are asking for trouble with the doors on a competition car.
My roll over bent the front rain gutters, rolling it back on it's feet pushed the other one over, around the front 1/4 glass. It could be a issue if your on fire upside down.
It looks scary to drive already with the rear track width.
Looking at Victors car, all engine is sitting behind the front wheels, where it should be. You have to expect the worst It looks great and will be a masterpiece when your done, the effort and time so far is a credit to all involved. Just don't race it[:x)]

I didn't compare the Esky to the 57 Chev. That was the window idea bud suggested. I just pointed out where the most ideal position for the motor.
I think you should get busy building your car, so you can tell me how wrong i am again.

What ever you do don't stop showing us the updates of what you have done just because of people's opinions, because mate this car of your's is pure eye candy, even if it was to never see the quarter mile which of course it will it's one of the best looking drag cars allready, and with the suicide door's i've seen a few drag cars with suicides and mate the pre stage burnout smoke just flow's right out of the cabbin so much better than normal hindged door's so at least that is a bonus aswell as looking great and making life easier getting in and out which i thought was a smart idea. Keep up the updates and the great fab work Regards Troy
