Great collection of cars. Race car looks like a great weapon.
Can't wait to see another RS2000 restored.

I've seen you few times over the past week on my way to and from TAFE. Wishihadars1800 answered the question I was going to ask you, and now I know who it is if a ever get a wave from a GT-P.
Your mk1 is very nice, so is that Green mk2. It is going to be good to see another RS on the road.

Scott, do you remember going to KFC on Glen Osmond Rd one day and some guy asked you if you wanted to sell your car?.. That was me I had seen your car at MtBHS one day when I went to check out my new school, so I knew you were a hills guy. Thanks for the comps on the cars. Wishihadars1800, sounds like you have a great plan there. I restored my first escort when I was at school too Thankyoufor your comps too. Look out for the green mk II and the GT-P guys[88]

I don't remember that at KFC, with the numerous offers I've had it can be hard to remember them all. I used to go MBHS, that was back in 2006. The only my RS is missing is the front seats and door trims.
I to rebuilt my Escort while at school[:p]

Stay tuned guys...The new YB motor build has started... New Argo H-Beam rods and Wossner forged pistons have been ordered... Pics soon....
This also means that the motor that comes out of the race car is one step closer to going in the old flat front MKII...

Hi Santa, Thanks for the comps on the cars.. The boot spoiler makes some differnce at higher speeds(200-220kph)at spots like the kink at Mallala... at lower speeds it does nothing... If you look at the picture of the MK I Cortina posted by blackrs2k you will see it has one of the same size.. this is the largest wing that we can run under the rules for Improved Production... some cars dont run the wing... but there isn't too many Improved Production cars that can do 1 minute 16's around Mallala...

Hi Santa,
Another cool MK I on the way, any pics[:p]
As for IP rules, 4 links are a no go. The car must use what it cam with... You can add things (eg a 2 link) but you cant remove the original system... No turrets, no 4 link with coil overs...
The rims I use are 15"x8"'s with 205x50x15 o48 Yokohama's. I can also run a 225x50x15. But apart from the masive price jump between the two sizes the later didn't look right on the rims... Some guys run them... Some guys run 195's
Standard Escort offest... if you measure from the back of the rim to the mounting flange it measures 110mm....
Are you going to run a YB in yours??
Regards
Scott

Yeah Yb for me The only pics I have are of each quarter as Im stuffing around doing the arches.May have some more on the weekend if the motors in. What revs are you pulling at 100kmh with the 4.1 in? I was going to put a full 6 link in it but I have hopes of it ending up on the track so may hold off. Do you have to run it restricted aswell or is that personal choice.

I'm going have a guess that in fith gear the car would do a 100kph with the motor doing 2500rpm... I have a excel spred sheet that I developed to calculate speeds in gears... I did a quick cut and paste below but the formula etc is not included... but it goes something like this.. Anything in red is an entry... anything in black was a claculated number... Normally there is a graph too, but it didn't display when I did my cut and paste... Gear Information Differential Ratio: 4.1 Tyre Brand / Type / Size: Yokohama 048R 205/50/15 Tyre Diameter (in mm): 584 Tyre Circumference (in mm): 1835 Red Line RPM: 7000 Gearbox Type: T5 (EB XR8) Gears Diff Ratio Overall 1st 3.35 x 4.1 = 13.735 2nd 1.99 x 4.1 = 8.159 3rd 1.33 x 4.1 = 5.453 4th 1.00 x 4.1 = 4.1 5th 0.73 x 4.1 = 2.993 RPM 1000 2000 3000 4000 5000 6000 7000 Gears 1st 8 16 24 32 40 48 56 2nd 13 27 40 54 67 81 94 3rd 20 40 61 81 101 121 141 4th 27 54 81 107 134 161 188 5th 37 74 110 147 184 221 258 I normally change gears around 5800... I've now got the limiter set at 6800... The restrictor is a pain in the butt... but it does keep it even between our tiny car with 350hp and the big 600hp V8's which is good... It's a rule that we must run a 36mm restrictor in inlet tract of the turbo no futher than 50mm away from the compressor wheel... I drive by watching the boost gauge... With the restrictor the boost will drop off as the rpm increases... if it drops to 15psi I bang it into the next cog... It will go straight back up to 24psi and when it drops to 15psi....etc etc till no moe gears
