There has been a bit of a lul in proceedings, am reworking cam sensor, removing airflow meter, and going WOLF ECU with inbuilt MAP sensor. So although the I'm still at it, haven't done much. Haveing fun with my other MK1 hasn't helped.

The MX5 B6 has no dist. just a cam angle sensor at the back of the inlet cam, and has a coil pac. So no firewall mods at all.

So I have a couple of questions. On the first post you mentioned that you had to modify the following. Why? - belt drive - cam angle sensor -thermostat housing I am interested because I want to do the same motor into my MK2 escort. GMU.. Just realized the last post was 2010 !!!!

Hi, have not been on in a long time and just found your questions. When I first started the conversion I remounted the cam angle sensor from the back of one cam to a belt drive arrangement at the front of the engine, but, I have since changed that to a different setup. The thermostat housing was modified to get the hose outlet facing in the required direction.
