Wheels have been painted. I'm trying to restore the polished rim on the outer edge by hand though!

I have scrubbed the front inner wings. Have made sure this corner is clean. Looks ok! Will be[link=#86802763] installing [/link]Capri coilovers. They are giving me a few [link=#26177888]headaches [/link]adapting them.

G'day Shaul, Good to see the car getting a good birthday. The shell looks alright, anything major to do? Funny those photos look just like mine about 18 months ago, yours looks a little less rusty though, half your luck Keep the pics coming... Cheers Drew...

Thanks Drew, Yeah rust wise the body is pretty good! There are a few spots that need attention, but not as bad as some I've seen. I've set up with a friend of a friend who can allow me to sand blast the body so that will be the next step in the process before the panel beater gets hold of it.

These arrived today from Spanner, great work Tim. It will be a while before I have the thrill of applying them, but another item ticked off the 'to source list'. An interesting note on the jack usage sticker. I don't think my RS ever had this sticker, as I have the collapsible type jack. That's what the little yellow sticker goes on. I'm not sure if late RS 2000's had this sticker at all??

Interesting about the jack sticker, My first and second RS [25+ years] had the sticker and the jack shown. When I got my current car from Perth and a one owner it had a scissor jack and I assumed it to be wrong. Further investigation on this issue I'm no longer sure some cars were supplied with the scissor. The owners manual only ever has jack shown in on the sticker. Sorry cannot make out the yellow sticker from the image. Also none of the RS I've owned have ever had the beware of the fan sticker? John

Finally found some Capri brake guards and brand new remanufactured steering arms. Clean up and correct fitment next.

Re the yellow and black label for the jack: I had a lot to do with the collection of OEM Australian MK2 Escort labels so that they could be reliably reproduced and made commercially available by Tim. These exact labels are what you have shown in the photos. The yellow and black label for the jack was copied from the scissor type jack which was fitted to my RS2000 May 1980 build purchased brand new, which I still own. Both the collapsible ratchet type jack and the scissor type jack were OEM fitted to the MK2 Escorts.

The coolant/fan label is completely accurate and correct and was located on the top radiator support panel.
