Small Fords - New Zealand

Here are a couple of small fords from accross the ditch in NZ.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
I have recently purchased a Mk1 Escort from this forum and cant wait for its arrival and to go cruising with you boys.
Collected from our all ford days and some mates cars too.

Some very neat cars over there in NZ.

Always seems to be heaps of Escorts cheap on Trade-Me. Might be time for a holiday with some large suitcases. Closer than the UK and the exchange rate is much better!!!

    Love the 4dr MK2 COrty.

The second MK1 esky with the Hotwires looks menacing.
Noticed the Tickford badge and 5 stud rear.....[}:)]

There are heaps of cool Escorts going cheap over home now.
With the price of unleaded at $2.09 now, its becoming harder to afford that weekend ride or project car.
Thats why we moved over here...good wages, time + 1/2 + double time, cheap petrol too for now
That black mk1 had a small block V8 in it from memory (loud and lumpy)
It left a decent signature at the front gate when it left too

...sorry have to say it......That's choice as Bro!

Some really really nice cars there, and your project looked like it had a heap of promise. Good news is that there are Mk 1's around over here, so don't despair....once your settled in you'll have a nice Escort sooner rather than later.

Just a word of warning though......Australian car parts shops have a large area devoted to Sheep skin seat covers......take it easy tiger!

Hope you enjoy the scene here!

... sweet as racin jason !

I now have a Mk 1 Escort that I am using as a daily driver for now, i'll just fix it up as can.

Thanks for the tip about sheep skin covers, that was the first item I purchased to give me those creature comforts of home.

Sterling - good choice bro, that cortina was my favorite too. As for that Cortina, I think it was an original GTE, 1 lady owner. No rotary.
