UK Newbie - Mk2 Mex & 3dr Cos
Firstly Hello! I couldn't find a newbie section so I thought I would break the ice with a couple of pics of my cars. I was directed to this site months and months ago by my friend Mark (2quick4u) but have only just got round to posting as I spend most of my time on www.turbosport.co.uk. Anyway here goes: '78 MK2 Mex: Currently off the road awaiting a Cosworth transplant. Then there is my 3dr: Not sure if its "classic" enough for you guys? Its only done 18000 miles and is currently running 380bhp so not mental but enough for the time being without having to spend serious money on it. Previous Ford cars include Escort S1 RS Turbo, MK3 RS1600i, MK1 RS2000 and a 2wd Sapphire to name a few. Let me know what you think guys! (edited as the pics wernt showing [:o)] )

Very nice cars Kieron, thanks for sharing. Love the set of wheels in the first 2 shots of the 3dr, best looking ones I've seen.

Seen your cars on TS and yes they both look great!
Love the 13's wheels with low profiles, a look that you dont see enough of in Oz. Any pics of the transplant?

Thanks for the replies guys I love the 3dr. Its my favourite although I rarely drive it as I want to preserve the condition/mileage. In my defence though I have always had another car/RS while owning it so I still get my kicks. I used to own a 2wd Saph that I ran everyday so the 3dr is just a summer day, show car. Wheels in the first two shots are what's currently sitting on it now. I sold the other set as I was bored of them. They are TSW Hockenheims. An old rim that are no-longer made and quite hard to come by as they have a reputation of being weak. Ideally i want some Compomotive CXN's but they are £1700 for the wheels alone!!! [:u] No pics of the transplant yet as its not begun. I have the car, engine, gearbox & loom but thats the easy bit. Getting it all to fit and with an axle that can take the abuse is where the fun starts. Mark, I would love to find you one and help get it shipped over. Going in yours was one of the things that made me want one. I had always wanted one anyhow but after the drive out in yours I was hooked. I will have to find out the tyre sizes boys as I'm afraid I cant remember off the top of my head. They do get comments from the old boring concoarse sods over here though that think the car doesn't sit right on them [x2x] No accounting for taste hey!
