little bit more progress with the car, back on the dyno yesterday for a health check up. fresh set of plugs and its making the same power as last time only on a little less boost. 234rwkw @20psi. seems the car is really reliant on fresh plugs, as the power was down 25kw and was breaking down up top, but the plugs were 5,000km old and had been getting fuelled up a bit with the car only making short starts in and out of the driveway. so im guessing ur all thinking why i am working on the car all of a sudden im strapping myself in for another 18hours of fun (bouncy, loud, leg cramping fun) and making the trip up to nsw for the small ford concourse day.

She's straining to be unleashed. (-: Do you use some sort of calculator to work out master cylinder size or just an educated guess?

Ok NSW 2014 Trip done and dusted. heres a short run down.. Day 1 Decided to leave home friday night at around 6pm as it was hot (32degrees) all day and Saturday was planned to be the same. Made the most of the cooling conditions as made my way to a Mates place in Wodonga to stay the night. Got there about 9:30pm and first on the list on things to do was find a car wash and clean the smear of bug stuff off the front and windscreen of the car. Lucky enough for me my mate who's house i was staying at is a avid photographer and had just bought some new flash equipment that he was hanging to try out. So we drove around for a while and took some pictures. The night was then capped off by a less then ideal mcdonalds dinner at 1:30am (only thing open in Wodonga)

Day 2 Woke up feeling rather tired and thinking that somehow the good work of leaving a night early had been undone by a lack of sleep. Didnt make it out of Wodonga untill 9:30 that morning and was in for a long hot day strapped into the car. All ran smoothly throughout the day, with the only annoyance being my small bladder and a slight steering wheel wobble due to not getting a wheel alignment in time before i left. Small highlight of Saturdays drive would have to be the windfarm just outside of Goulburn Made it to my nights accommodation in Camden late afternoon, had a quick wander around and did the car wash thing again, only this time a little more thorough as the show was the following day

Day 3 Day of the show, Was up and about rather early on the sunday, as i was meeting up with a few of the members travelling past my location on there way to the show. Getting up and packing up though was made a little more difficult due to the sudden drop in temperature overnight that had left a thick covering of dew both on the outside and inside ( was sleeping with just the flywire covering me) of my swag so with everything rolled up and jammed in the car i met up with the guys at about 6:45am for the trip into Moorebank to the show, about a 40 minute drive. By then the weather had started to warm back up and the cars started flowing into the show area. After the show i made the 4 hour trip back to Gundagai to spend the night. out came the swag to sit in the sun and dry off a little went for a walk around the carvan park that was situated on the banks of the Gundagai river and was next to the now unused rail bridge system. Then i decided to go for a quick drive and stumbled apon a lookout The night was finished off with Chinese food ( the only place open ) and a luke warm can of jack daniels consumed under the glow of my trusty led worklight.

Day 4 Up early again, 5:20 to be precise. Woken by a family of ducks feeding next to my head. Decided to get a bit of a jump on the day and was back strapped in the car and on the road before 6:45. All was travelling well until i got a bit of a bum puckering moment about an hour into my drive. To my surprise he was in a good mood that morning and we spent more time discussing the Victorian laws vs NSW as far as club plate schemes then actually looking over my car. What a relief. A good day was wished by both and off he went to catch the next speeding lunatic on the hume. Made it home by about 12 that morning and aside from discovering a pair of bald inside edges of my front tyres and a poofteenth of a litre oil consumption the trip was a complete success and hassle free. Car consistently ran at 9-9.5L/100km at a cruise of 3400rpm @110kmph.

The car is looking awesome Zac. Love the photos. Are they a set of teddy bear alloys on that mk1? I've only ever seen pics of those wheels in Europe.
