The diff should have brackets welded on them like the pic.  Some did & some didn't.  The ends of the sway bay then bolted though the chasis rails.

Have fun tomorrow, I won't be there, but take it easy through the hills.

Cheers,

Matt

The one on my Capri is like that, thats normal I believe when fitting an aftermarket swaybar to a car that didn't come with one from the factory.  Its either that or get a factory one and then weld on the brackets to the diff and probably body too.

Matt, that'd be all well and good if i ran an escort diff, my cut down borgy has no mounts
Phoenix 13918, you spot on the money, seems the kit my old diff used to have was an aftermarket kit to suit a xr-xy falcon
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-Falcon-XR-XT-XW-XY-8-66-2-72-Swaybar-18mm-h-duty-R-/190625979981?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c62319e4d#ht_3505wt_1141
still have all the mounting pionts body wise so this is looking like the best option so far, a little dear but what can you do. now its just a decision between 18,22,24mm bar, leaning towards the 18mm because i dont wish to over do it

That bar looks the same that came on my Borgy. (bad pic but looks like the ebay one)

For interests sake Mish, on my Blue Esocrt it had std rear sway bar and aftermarket bar which works in same principle as the link but mounts under the diff instead of on top.

Cheers,
Rhys

Mish, looks like big grin territory on the skid pan... how much caster did you manage to run with the 13's and cutting the front off ?

Did you find the car self steering out of the drift with that much caster ? I ran 6 caster and 2.5 camber on the S13 Silvia I had and it was a dream to slide.

yeah steering return was close to spot on, if anything a little too quick, spun a few times and thought if i try to grab the wheel mid spin id loose a hand.

best thing about the whole thing is, drifted all day, changed wheels drove home and drove it daily for the next week then did a hills run weekend just gone

didnt take long to find the limits of the 175/60 through the hills, gotta find some 7inch wide rims and run some decent tyres
