Great job. Heard all about it from Simon the other night. What rpm did you make peak power and what was the torque figure? After what we discussed the other week at Simon's place I think I'll be a go with it also. I've got to try and keep the TX3 up with you guys on the track as much as possible- so long as I don't break something this weekend at winton!!!
Again mate, Well done. And well done to Simon who got respectable results from his TX3 also. Keep us informed on your progress with the cars guys.
Will have to check the dyno readings again, but I'm pretty sure peak power was around 7-7200rpm. Torque figures will be at the wheels, but I will look at the dyno figures again and let you know the improvement and rpm locations compared to standard. Thanks, Woz

I have now added a leaf to the rear suspension, and reset them 10-12mm lower, and also deleted the rear sway bar. I also fitted some different shock absorbers. Car is feeling better, but next outing on the race track will soon confirm that!!. I also noted when I had the rear suspension out that my car has Mk2 leafs in the rear.
Cheers, Woz

Some more recent pictures of the car. NOTE: ALL pictures were taken by Gary Hill, ELGEE pictures and words. CAMPERDOWN VHC ROUND (BEFORE SUSPENSION MODS) SHEPPARTON VHC ROUND (FRONT SUSPENSION CHANGED) PHILLIP ISLAND VHC Raced the car at the Broadford hillclimb on the weekend, finished 4th in class. Car was great. Driver, not so great. I had been feeling ill all weekend, and by the time I got my act together it poored with rain, leaving only 2 dry official runs. Not to worry, very happy with the suspension changes. Both the front and the rear done now, Cheers Woz

The Broadford hillclimb is actually on the motorcycle track at the complex. By "ball park figures" what do you mean?? If you mean, what should you be paying for a s/h engine, then you should be able to pick up a front wheel drive one in good condition for $150 upwards. Have a good hunt around the wrecking yards. Cheers Woz

Finally got my act together and finished the rear suspension on the car. I have fitted new rear leaf springs, and also fitted a watts linkage with adjustable roll centre. Waiting for the shocks to turn up, but so far it has made a dramatic improvement to the car, can't wait to get it back on the track!. This is my first attempt at a watts link rear, I used falcon bits, just shortened the arms up. Will probably rose joint it later on, but it has superpro bushes at the moment. Cheers, Woz

Cheers Phil. I have had the car out this arvo playing with the roll centre, it's amazing how much difference it makes to the car, very noticable. Will be good to muck around with it at the track, looking forward to it!
