I'm off to my newsagent. It definatly has that tough look. I really like the chrome look the motor has. The wheels suit it well to. Do you traction problems [88] 242kw at the wheels [:0]

Yeah, it only has traction problems in 1st, 2nd & 3rd with Kuhmo Ecsta semi slicks on

You know that if you put your foot down 1/2 to 3/4 it will accelerate pretty damn hard and not turn the tyres, but that is not as much fun I suppose. In truth I just change early in most cases whilst getting about and then in higher gears give it the pedal to the metal for overtaking etc...Better to have the option to go hard, even if it not needed most of the time, at least there is the choice. Sorry that was a diplomatic load of waffle.[88] Phil has been assisting me in spending my money[:-(] with new accessories on the table now...[%]

It would be so funny watching you race on the street. You have the power their but slight traction problems. I have seen BA GT's putting out 220kw at the wheels but in an escort.. whoe waa [:u] If you ever have a video of your car i would like to see it

...More fun is had on the track. I have only been once with this engine and cannot wait to get back there.

Hi Matt - You can see why I could not give the engine up.[;^)] Thanks for being positive...Fantastic that you found this site. So how is the Cossie? Brilliant is all I can imagine as Bob kept his car in perfect condition as I believe you would too. Look out for the imminent upgrade to GT30 turbo and some extra horses. You should post some piccies of your car on here too

I am still running the standard engine with 263.5kW atw from a GT30/76R and other proper ancillaries such as Autronic SMC and MSD Blaster Coils...Now look out for new mods that will let the turbo work for once in its life (porting, cams and the like).....The custom made elastomeric engine damper and strut assists in keeping the engine in the bay as it was trying to jump out using the standard escort mounts alone (which still exist). Great for reducing vibration... A dream to drive, many grins  [(#)][88] 263kW is produced at 24psi all day every day............... sorry the dyno sheet shows an old tune with higher boost. The point is that the engine makes the same power with less boost, it is mass flow that affects the power.....
