MY 79 RS

My old post has since been archived and been sent into the internet ether now so I'd though I'd post some new photos.

Well I've decided to fix up a few a things, I've gotten quite a bit powder coated to last a long time and I'm re-sparying the dash as it wasn't that good. I've got the setas re-trimmed as they were tatty and I've pulled the head off in preparation for the new one to go on. I've also overhauled the webers as they were quite old and leaking.

The windscreen wipers were loose inside their housings so I pulled them apart and got the housings re-sleeved with new bronze bushings to make them water tight and not as loose. I also fitted a new seal to the door locking barrel after the handles were powder coated.

Next on the cards is:
Get new door trims
Make new centre console
Repaint all black highlights on the exterior

Cheers

They're K&N Filters. Don't know the part number but any speed shop will be able to help you out. Don't get the thin ones though.

Glenn: Doing my car up IS my hobbie! [88]

Some may say that it didn't need anything done to it but... Well there were some things that "weren't quite right" [;^)]

I've always wanted to fix the engine up properly, then I thought, well, the seats need doing as well, but the seat rails are a bit shabby so I might get them powder coated, then I thought, well, there are some other parts I could get powder coated at the same time, then I thought seeing as I'm pulling so much off it I might as well respray the dash, so on and so forth.... I'm now a long way from where I intended!!!!

    He He [:x)]
