Mate, thats a super repair on the a pillar. Looking good. I'm enjoying watching your progress. Gives me the motivation to get into mine a bit more. Although I have found more rust in the A-pillar on mine too. Ah well. More welding practice.
Keep up the good work.

Ok its been a while, but I thought Id drag this thread out, dust it off and post some more recent picks The sill panel was pretty stuffed, so I had a new one folded up, cut off the old one and put the new one on. Fixed the inner sill while I was at it 2ltr Got some new seals and gaskets, vernier timing wheel and a dulux rebuild. We have to move house soon, so I had to load up some spares and take them round the inlaws Got back into it and cut the old fornt off, and fixed up where the previous owner had butchered the inner apron to fit the 2L Radiator As it sits at the moment waiting for some high fill in the engine bay. And primer to the floors. Basically I have to get it back on its wheels by end of May. So prime the under carriage, engine bay, windows and doors, inside and boot. Then paint it all, and Ill to the outer body later. You'll see a bit of filler around the place, but Ive only used to it flush things up, its all steel under neath.

Some of those repairs looked a bit tricky. Keep up the good work.

Thanks. Yeah it has come along, the body still needs a lot more work before paint, the primer is mainly a buff coat and to keep the moisture out, because once we move Im guessing it will sit for a while.
Colour - I have 4L of 2k Bright white sitting there but Im still tossing up wheather to use it or to Go with the original Green. Im thinking because its a race car maybe white with some sort of graphic on it. Any suggestions?

Bolted the engine and front end in last night. Think I got the engine mounts round the wrong way tho. Extractors are touching the floor :-( I have to buy new mounts anyway, so will swap them over when I do that. I also need to adjust the gearbox mount a bit too. I moved the body mounts back and down and re drilled the cross member but it still needs a 15mm spacer in there, so I think I will weld some plate to the back of the x member and re-drill to suit. You'll have to excuse the quality of the last few lots of pics, all done with the phone.

I was enjoying watching the progress on your car until my work's IT department put a ban on photo sharing sites - including Photobucket! [8~2]
Once my new computer is up and running at home I'll take another look...

I think its called a liquid arc ST140 which is basically the later model Blue version of the Red Lincon ST140. Its made by Lincon. Its been a great little machine. The only thing i dont like about it is the amperage has like 8 settings, I would prefer a resistor type infinate setting on the amperage as per the wirefeed. My uncle and my brother both bought the same one and apart from my brothers one suffereing from a broken wire in the hand peice (I got a better one in my package) they have all been great. It comes with a harris reg and it does gas and gasless, and you can change the lining for aliminium if you want too. (its removable) very happy.
