the race meet was the group c and group a era cars plus historics and all sorts. the first time something of that format has been seen in Tassie, hopefully it wont be the last.

    so maxy freeland got the rs out of the shed. good to see it was there. probably should have gone up, looks like there were some nice stuff there

    yeah maxy paraded the old girl. thats his red mk1 and green mk1 too. plenty to look at.

    thought they were his other cars too. was the don elliott racing anglia replica there? that was my old anglia, never thought of doing a rep of dons car! wonder my dad never suggested it... will have to go next year i think. was that martin bulks anglia van?

    Awesome pics. Thanks for showing us those. There should be more events like that around (or are there and I just dont hear about them...)

    yeah thats bulky's van. not been on the road long and very tidy. beside that was his race anglia. what does don elliotts anglia look like? the cream one with green and red stripes?

    thats it, when i got it, it was white with blue interior, standard 998 pre crossflow and so on. first thing i got was some wide steel wheels (painted them blue) lowered heaps. then we got our hands on a 1500 gt cortina engine and dropped in it, then got a red interior so that went in, the wheels then were painted black, a red stripe the width of the indent in the bonnet/roof/boot was then painted over the top and a half cage fitted. then i sold/gave it to my dad. he then sold it on to the bloke who has it now who did it up as a replica of dons old race car. looks pretty tidy now
