PeterM, that is a great story about the 4 door RS. As the owner of a 4 door RS in Sno white, it's great to see such car around with that history. Truly a very valuable car, I hope you hold onto her...

Hello RS027, Thanks for your thoughts. The 4 door RS consumed a large part of my late teens and early 20's. There are lot's of great memories and lot's of hard work to get the car back to top condition after the accident. In all the years I have never considered selling her.
Hello Master Avon, Yes, the RS 2 door is in extremely good condition when we bought it over Easter (from a forum member). A big credit to the past owners! I was concerned about the mechanical safety and reliability of the car considering it is 30 years old and had an unknown number of owners, and an unknown history. The project started as a small check over, however it has sort of escalated into a full resto (I get bored easily and love to pull things apart). The goal is to improve and preserve to help guarrantee the car's future.
Hello Master Sundowner, .....but who owns the Escort panel van.......I do!! [88]
Hello Administrator Sean and SaggaRS, I bought the tee-shirt in mid 1980 from one of the shops in Westfield Parramatta NSW. The shops had iron-on transfers that you could choose from a catalogue and also select the tee-shirt. They would iron them on. The shops were once popular but don't know if they still exist anywhere, but I suppose they do.
ta, Peter.

Hello All, Just wondering about the 6 digit SIDO number appearing on the compliance plate of the Escorts. I understand that the SIDO number was an identification number chosen by Ford on receipt of an order from the dealer. Would this mean that the original selling dealer can be identified by this number? Does anyone know about this?? ta, PeterM

Hi SaggaRS, The white 4 door is residing in the corner at the moment, well for the past 18 years. I will take some photos very soon and post them. Hi Bodie, We have just about completed your time machine, but with just one mod. We want to go back to 1980 and 1981 (not 1982) so we can buy up every RS2000 and all Escort spare parts that Ford have in captivity......Oh, I expect to back in 1981 in a week or two so we can also find an abundance of the RS2000 tee shirts for you.(very soon).
