[%] I can see the light!!! I have had a great deal of drama with the lights on my car. It had been given a very dodgy H4 main beam conversion (originally they are H1), it appeared that the big relay was the drama, swapping it for a MK3 one gave me highs and main no parker, originally I had parker and main, no high. I had an auto elec pop over today and spend 2 hours fiddling.

Turns out the original relay did work but had one feed instead of 2, also the switch had a dodgy terminal, plus a wire going off to the indicator for the clearance lights had a bad connection. Also the relay was not earthed properly, and an earth pin inside the relay had popped off. A main feed wire had got hot and was badly distorted so it was repaired, suddenly all lights work and I can go get a RWC. The auto elects parting comment "I'd grab another relay if I were you this ones on its last legs....[8~2]

Bonnet cable was giving me grief as well. Those who went to SFS may have noticed orange rope holding down my bonnet. Now I can secure it down and pop it open from inside the car - and no more rope

Wagga here we come

Gee doesnt this bring back memories......

just read this all the way thru - IBF 310 (its bloody finished) was what those plates stood for when the previous owner had it.
I was amazed when you said it burst into life for the first time since 96 - I remember pitting the motor in it & the start up last time (now I am feeling old)

well done JR on restoring another rare classic

I have a pic of my capri on the same area in NSW

Stephen Bradbury after thinking about it said,"I will accept this award because of all the hard work and sacrifice it took to get me to this point." It must have taken great courage to take on a wreck and turn it into a nice car again. You deserve some recognition.[^]
