Congrats on the first startup. Exciting times!
Was it with the triples fitted or are they a project for later?

New headlining fitted today. Got most of the easy little bits like grab handles etc in. I spent most of today removing the heater and wiper motor - swine of a job - as they were melted by the little fire. I'll refit the donor ones in the morning and hopefully finish the interior. Then its glass, then sorting out. I hope to have a fully assembled RS by the end of the week!! I'll update photos in the morning

Yes I like the 4 spoke but the ratio is about 50 - 50. I still have the original wheel which I tarted up into looking new again, but it is not really a sporty wheel at all, I cant figure out why they didn't use the flat 3 spoke off the RS 2600 it would have looked so much better. Boatshed could be a possibility

JR the car looks really great. What an amazing effort. 3 spoke wheel would be my choice. When do we get to see the beast officially?

Mark, can you ring me please I lost your number, I want to talk about heater hoses and a few other bits, cheers JR. I drove it tonight for the first time. The last time this thing hit the road it did it with the drivers side and the roof. Tonight however it remained on all 4 wheels, it seems to have some go (even without the triples . I managed to throw off a wheel weight which gave me a bit of a fright, also it has a whine like a dud real axle bearing, I'm sure I can sort that though (just hope it's not a bent axle). The car seems to have a live energy of its own, its definately ballsier than my GT

Well I'll be, something eerie about seeing your own car in other peoples photos, and 3 Olympic blue ones side by side, cant see that happening too often. Not sure if the big $ RS actually went back to the UK, last I heard the new owner was looking at recovering part of hios purchase price

Well I drove the car all the way to Pedders Dandenong for a front end alignment. I took in the special RS settings and let them do their stuff. It seems the car has retained a small part of its twist and they cannot get it exactly right.
In order to sort the castor I will need an adjustable front sway bar (anyone got one???) Pedders will also have to bend one of the strut bodies slightly. I would have thought a machined wedge plate a better option but I guess they would have suggested that...
Anyway the car goes in a straight line now I'll sort the minor bits out later. Looks like I forgot to change the thermostat as I blew the radiator cap right off during the trip home (although 41 degrees didn't help).
Well I'm confident that the car will make it to SFS this week although I really have to sort this bonnet pull cable out
