Got a call on Sat morning to go see the front of the RS being pulled. I got there and took some pics. The right strut tower was sitting higher than the left by 1.5" this soon came down and also made the upper section of the right inner guard fall into line. The floor and firwall did not want to play the game however. It seems the right rail has become too weak and began to fold in on itself. I have a spare complete chassis so I'll drop it in and they can replace the rail

How closely did you look at the auction? You might have recognized the top bidder...

I can't see the bidders IDs as it's a anonymous auction and I'm not a bidder.

Good luck though, it's not every day that a pair of those come up for sale.

Cheers

600 quid end price (assume I was in for the last part, price would have been say 650, plus collection, packing, freight and repairs means they would owe me about $3000 a bit too steep

Ooooh a call from the panel guy, "Your car is in primer, I just have to do a bit more welding in the engine bay and it'll be ready to go. Amazing no movement for 6 months then it's nearly done in a weekend....

Ahh looking for a paint shop what a fun trip, I need a guy to paint it and take his time as I'm off overseas for a month. The shop that has it now want way too much and their attention to detail does not do their price justice....
