Classic Ford Magazine article - your the star!

Ok...Ive been wanting to do an article where I could get the entire forum involved...and finally after 6 months of thinking - I've cracked it!

This is a chance for everyone on this forum to get involved with an article in Classic Ford Magazine UK, and have their names...and possibly cars featured at the same time!

I think our scene here in Australia is one of the worlds most vibrant, and I am constantly show casing what we have, and how cool it all is down under. I have now got the idea for a single article that takes in all corners of our fair country....and I need your help!

DAILY DRIVEN CLASSIC FORDS!

The article will document what the Classic Ford forum members have seen in their daily travels for a one week period (7 days). As long as you have a digital camera...you can be involved. There is no limit to the amount of people who can take part, nor the limit of shots that will be accepted. Obviously the shots will be sorted for the very best ones once they have been received.

Along with the pictures, you will need to submit the following info;

1 - State/city where the pics were taken
2 - Overview of cars shot - I.e. how ofetn you saw the cars, how many you saw etc.

Now here's the best bit....I will assure anyone who submits pics and text will have either their forum name or full real name listed on the article.

So who wants in? I plan to use the following dates as the 'week' this article is captured;

Start - Saturday 24th March
Finish - Saturday 31st March

After the shots have been taken, and you have filled out your small text requirment, simply send them on a disc to the following address;

Attention - Racin Jason O'Halloran
500 South Road
Kurralta Park
SA 5037

*NOTE - DO NOT EMAIL THEM TOO ME AS THEY WILL CLOG UP MY SERVER!

I will accept discs up until two weeks after Monday 2nd April. So that's it....who's in for showcasing our daily driven Classic Ford scene to the UK? Come on don't be shy, this is your chance to show the world how cool Australia and it's old cars real is.

Oh and what sort of cars are we chasing....Well that's simple, here's a list;

Any Anglia
Any Escort
Any Capri (As long as it's RWD[;^)])
Any Cortina
Any Zepher or Zodiac
Any Falcon before the XD
- XK, XL, XM, XP, XR, XT, XW, XY, XA, XB, XC
Any early Fairlane
- ZA, ZB, ZC etc
Any American Fords like Mustangs, Thunderbirds etc
Any chrome bumper Transit van
Any Chrome bumper F-truck

Bonus points for the following

RS2000
GT's
EX-Ambulances

The challenge is on!

    is this going to work. I'd hate to see people on this forum go to the trouble and end up with the feature not being run in classic ford magazine. I was stung by classic ford then had my car featured in a B grade magazine after nearly twelve months after the photo shoot. I'm still wondering what they're (classic ford) deal is.Nothing against you Jason.

    Yes I understand, but mate when I post something like this...my signature pretty good guarantee that a feature it will become. In regards to individual features...usual standard fair is that the Editor likes a car to be referred by a journo.

    As has been offered before, please let me know if you think you have a worthy car. I will always foward and plead your case if your ride is feature worthy.

    Anyway...now we have established all that....can I put you down as a contributor for this unique article?

    you did the story and the photo shoot on my car and it was you that recommended my car to classic ford, I don't want to argue just wanted to show that they still don't print all features forwarded by journo's so others don't get there hopes up like I did.
    to jog your memory I had a dark blue mk1 with sierra injection.
    Would love to join in but my car is in rebuild, wonder if it will be good enough for them this time round. A very disillusioned small ford fan

    No problems Grump...I remember your car, and as I also recall a change in Editor, late submission and other factors meant the car was featured in Australia.

    Actually the 'B' Grade magazine your refer too - Performance buildups has never paid me for the text I wrote for that story....so that makes two of us who have been stung. None the less, the car is and always will be a stunner in my eyes - with probably the best ever engine bay ever.

    That's my opinion for what ever it's worth.

    I'd be happy to havew pics of your car for the daily article if you choose.

    Ok let me just recap.....

    Grab your digital camera....keep in in handy reach....and for the week of;

    Saturday 24th March...to...Saturday 31st March

    Take a picture of EVERY single Classic Ford you see. Be it on the road, in a shed, or parked at Woolworths.

    Burn it a disc, send it too me, and send some text about what you saw, how hard it was to come across Old Fords etc.

    Bottom line.....YOU ARE NOW EMPOWERED BY CLASSIC FORD MAGAZINE! Represent your local area, and showcase what Classic Fords, live, breathe and operate in your immediate daily routine.

    Man I feel like I'm sending forth an Army!

    Viva La Classic Fords![88][88][88][88]

    Ok let's see what we have.....If your in, say so and also include what state/city your from.

    Cheers
