all cylinders registered 200 psi, highly doubt ive damaged anything in the head then so im thinking adjust tappets, are they even adjustable on pintos[x2x], ive nevers really worked on one besides the usual maintanece
the thing also wont rev past 3500 but i think thats carby related as its spurting fuel left right and centre, had a few big backfires through carb which on 350 holley's makes the power valve cactus, least the thing is running now and i can sort out the little things
still in shock that i can turn the key and the thing will just idle when its stone cold

Tappet clearances will be on that cam info sheet you've got. Easily adjusted.
Porbably needs timing adjusted on it if it backfiring through the carb, then it should rev up better. I wouldn't mess with the carb yet, you spent a fair bit getting it right so considering it was fine before hand I'd fix timing before changing jets or anything.

hey david. good to here buddy. you should really get the carby all sweet and then try and run it. that motor loves fuel and air due to the big cam. and dont worry when you have the car runnin right when its cold it wont idle for a few minutes.
give me a call if ya need any help.

with the rattle coming from the rear of the engine and it not revving over 3500 im thinking maybe the timing belt has skipped a tooth and maybe timing has been retarded [x2x], just a thought, any suggestions more then welcome
