thanks for the comments guys Ive entered her in the all ford day, so come have a look if you want. i hopefully plan to get it passed thru regencies early next week so i can get on sa plates. after that ill be installing a stereo, ill keep it hidden as much as i can though. i plan to mount the face in the glove box. i will either buy some 6x9 that match my interior colour or carpet over them. as for the front speakers i dont have any ideas on were to mount them so that they look neat and tidy. anybody out there got some ideas? after that ill start work on the motor. not quite sure on which path i should take [x2x] cheers huw

Mate top car. Don't cut holes in your door cards for the front speakers. Put them in the kick panels as to not ruin the doors. Also I would not recommend listening to your brother about engine options (open can of worms here) Good luck.

I don't have any pics on me I will see what I can do. But what you do is buy speaker pods/spaces from JB hifi and fit them on the kick panel if that makes sense. I have 6" pioneers in the front kick panels using pods. They do stick out a bit and people complain that they get in the way of their right foot when driving. But mine are fine and had no problems.
