Whats on your motoring bucket list?

So whats on your motoring bucket list? Cars, boats, bikes, planes anything with an engine. Lets hear them...

We'll be heading back out to Lake Perkolli again this year for The Red Dust Revival. Started in 1914 its one of the oldest motorsport events in the country. Nowadays its a nostalga/ recreation event open to pre 1940's cars and bikes.
Its about 3 miles around the claypan and over the weekend they also land vintage planes out there.
Can't wait, Kalgoorlie is a great place with lots of history and attractions, I recommend at least a week there to take it all in.

My missis has been wanting to go to Ireland to see her cousins, the sights etc so if we do this we'll be seeing some historic rallies while there, then hop to over to isle of Man for the TT , Wales for more 'sight seeing' then England to visit my cousins. On the way home we might bounce over to USA to check out a NASCAR round and pikes peak with more sightseeing , I think they all can be done in one trip..

Thats what landcruisers are for mate!

Yeah that would be an awesome trip Marty! i think the rest of the world has moved on from covid and australia is slowly doing the same, might be some cheap travel opportunities coming up as airlines want to build business.

As for next motoring bucket list - i want a 60 series landcruiser. Like my old mans just to have as another sunday cruiser. Finding the space, time and all that seem to be the hard part!

Well what a pearler of a topic!
Yep, did the Nullarbor in 92 on my way around. People all said 'oh, that would be boring' but I reckon anything but. Good on you Robbie, looks like the family bonding sort of thing.
I have a mate who did do it in a Combi in the 70's when it was a goat track.
Worries me they are still talking of sealing the telegraph track up to Bamaga? Mind you, not being allowed to cross the Jardine kind of kills the experience anyway.

Marty a few of the Cossie guys from Newcastle (NSW) way go over to the UK for a few events and would definitely be a bucket list. I reckon that would be a grand trip to line up for a dedicated group of motorheads. Pikes Peak would be pretty much top of the list though, especially if the RS200 is still going strong. Then there's the Leadfoot in NZ. Oh, where do I stop?

My two current projects being the Escort tarmac build and Harada, the Flightcraft Concorde SS.
The boat would be the one though as myself and the others restoring the few surviving Concorde's are planning a get together on an inland waterway in the next year or two.

On another note, I am procrastinating (not a common thing for me) on starting a thread on my Escort build as it has all been done to death on this forum and others. So let me know if you want any pics as I tend to keep a low profile. Oh and also stick it on a new post. Sorry Robbie.

What do you reckon the cops doing? Giving the guys the name of his panel beater

Definite insurance payout there, owner bought a second hand yellow Belmont !!!

Do it Mark, we need this forum to liven up a bit, even if the pics are years old .. There's only a few of us keeping it alive with projects ... Even we've been kinda slack at the moment lol

Yes definitely more build threads. Becomes such a great resource for everybody. FB gives quick answers but i like keeping a build thread for myself (Although mine is really lacking atm). For reference my build thread on my mitusibishi evo helped a lot in legal proceedings when it went sideways. Long story that one.

my grandparents crossed the Nullaboor after arriving in Perth as $2 Poms in the 40's.
5 kids and 2 adults in a Vanguard made a slow trip to Geelong.
My bogan bucket list would be to hang out at some of the UK pub carparks as seen on Youtube, watching all the boy racers smoke up MK2's as they exit. Thats before they all cark it from old age of course.

Other bucket list is to get to the All Ford Day in the electric powered van.. maybe oneday.

Regarding builds, yes definitely do, even if it seems not much may get done.
I'm guilty of that atm, but life, and more accurately, what comes after actually, has caused us a necessary diversion a few months ago. Once things get a bit more sorted, it will be back to the shed.
So yes, keep CF going!
