Your car is looking great James and I'm glad you managed to get it all repaired and back on the road with minimal aggravation (to the wallet anyway!). Too many people would have found it all too hard, scrapped a perfectly good shell and looked for another one, so it's a real credit to you.

Mr Mk2
Great to meet you James at SFS. What Simon said, it didn't ever click with me what happened, so great work. Also it is great to see such a decent daily driver still doing the rounds. I Especially liked that special boot install you had (bmx)!!!

thanks guys.
Simon, at times, if i had the money i probably would have scraped it and bought a nice looking RS..
i was actually told to scrap it, but i like the car too much. im just glad i found someone who was willing to put time and effort into repairing the damage. and hopefully when he has the time he can fix up some other panels.
Michael, was good to meet you too, your car is amazing. glad you liked the boot

the Esky still has quite a bit to go, but im not giving up easily.

hmmm i remember Rhys's old gold mk2 which is now owned by ben. thats got a colour coded mex and it looks pure sex. i saw it on hindley a few weeks back. looked soooooo good. but i was also extremely smashed at the time?

anyway, thats going to be great when you go manual, i cant imagine what the auto would be like and how restricting it is.

$170 for thread and spring cups
$30 sandblasting and undercoat
$250? for springs.
just used struts that i had, and got all welding done by a mate. painted them myself aswell, and had top spring holder drilled out by a mate.
just using old inserts and strut tops for now.
