G'day,
Just thought i would take some pics of my eski.
Its just the basic L model, since buying for $100!! 3 years ago ive made it into a rallye pack, with stripes, seats and taco dash , spoilers and 13x6 hotwires.
Its still got the stock original 1600 auto, but am fitting it with a new rebuilt 1600 with oversized pistons, nice set of extractors, and a 32-36 webber.
Ive just finished making a 3 gauge set up at school, and now moveing onto making up a set of custom door trims.

Great to see the ecky. Haven't seen you at the servo lately. Pretty sure one weekend or Friday night you me and Reece will enjoy a leisurely cruise. I just have to do a few mods to mine to not look like the black sheep of the pack

. I like the gauges.

Looks like you have worked some magic on it!

I am a fan of both hotwires and the square headlights.

Why don't you put the rear louvre back on?

Great project dale. This is what classic fords are all about. Cheap, good looking and fun (im talking about the car here) Some of us get carried away and spend heaps but you dont have to.

That looks great!! simple, neat and very tuff! Did you weld up the holes for the side moldings? or is the rallye pack stripe just hiding them?

More importantally, What size are the tyres on those rims? and do the front rub on the spoiler at all?
I've got some 13 x 7 rims for mine and you car looks to be about the sema ride height as mine and i've been worred that if i got tyres that look as fat as yours they'll rub.

You got me, the stripe is hiding the marks[:I].
my tyres are KUMHO POWERMAX 205/60R13 86H and dont hit the spoiler but sometimes do scrape the arch around roundabouts[:(!]

thats cool ive got as stripe hiding mine too just not that style, Is that one of the ones off eBay?
I want to put the rallye pack stripe on mine but i thought that were the "Escort" wording is would leave one of the holes exposed in the rear quater panel, Are they all covered? and chance of a close up pic of the rear quarter side on to see?

Just rub hey? i might look at 205/55r13's then though ive got a huge swaybar on mine so so i might not have as much body roll?

I've gotta say it again, thats one tuff looking car!

Yeah its from eBay, you can just see some markings were it says Escort, ill get some pics up asap

ahh... yours were stuck on, mine had the factory bolt on strips so ive got actual holes left to cover up.
this is how mine is now (not very tuff compared to yours]. The front looks higher than it is because of the slope of the drivway too.

Hay guys, new engine is in!!
1600 block
stroked out to 1700 to fit high compression pistions
2 inch extractors
2 1/2" exaust
ram flo filter
getting GT spec cam made up for me in the next 2 weeks or so,
32-36 webber coming soon.
oh and also gona be running a cortina diff soon too.

me and dad did the rebuild. Capital engine reconditoning in Queanbeyan did the boring out.All up it cost about $400.

I was bord so I took some new pics, I painted the back bumper, door handels, and gutter trim.
still hunting for a ok set of 1/4 bumpers, can anyone out there who has a ok cheap set 4 sale please help me!!

Its only a L model [see pic on pg 1], I bought it with the hundered bucks my nan gave me for my 14th birthday.
It had nothing wrong engine wise, but the inside was f@!#ed also dad was mates with the bloke I got it off hahaha

Over 3 very long years I gathered every thing up to make it a rally pack, seats, taco dash, glove box, center console, spoilers, stripe package ect... all thanks to swap meets and bloody eBay [very adictive!!][:(!][:(!][88][88][88]

Hi all,
It's been a while since ive updated so ive upload some of the new the additions to the eski.
Finaly got the webber on....biiiiiig diference[}:)]
Made up some dodgy 1/4 bumpers out of an old dented bumper,
also changed too round headlights

[big ups to Reece for the grill [;^)]], new carpet and a XE S pack lip. Ill get some better pics soon.
Im thinking of colour codeing the spoiler and leaving the lip black, any thourghts.... also what's the best way to fill the tiny gap in the lip were it joins out by 2mm... my measuring was a bit off[:I][88].
Im also getting some lowering blocks for the back to drop it a inch or two[}:)]

Yeah Micheal im up for something on Sunday ill PM ya.
scottie_gt I finished the doors ages ago, the original trim on them was in pretty bad shape and not worth keeping so I made my own up[%].
I just made up a design out of MDF and went to work with a router and coverd it in gray velour. There not bad but ive lernt from my mistaks and next time round ill take more time in sticking the fabric down [two people would have made a diffrence]....hope you like em[:p]

thats a bloody good effort nothing feels better then when you complete something yourself you shood be proud of your 100 dollar project(probably spent a bit more then that now though)
