F***'n awesome Luke.
Did you have it tuned at Boostworx? I drove past a few times after Tafe just to look at it [:x)]

Its extremely tidy looking an very tasteful the way you've done it.
What sort of Master cyl is it running? does it have standard Mk2 brakes up front?

Look forward to getting a better look at next cruise.

yeah it has been there a few times now, getting various stuff done rear discs etc. but yeah standard master cylinder mounted in the cabin behind the pedals. The fronts i think are mk2 but i remember i measured them a while back and they were slightly larger.

Very nice looking car, and quite original also. Looks like a lot of attention went into the detail of it. Very well done.

Very nice looking car now Luke, you have done a great job. I am building a MK1 which will also be Orange. Mine will have a 1.6L Pinto in it, and more than likely a 5 speed Sierra box.

yeah the car used to belong to adrian woods and like you said was a full blown drag car running flat 11's back in the 90's with a supercharged pinto motor. it had a much bigger bonnet scoop with the same blue stripe on it.

i aim to supercharge my new motor once i have the funds and take her to the drags see what she'll do. hopefully it'll be in a magazine again, someday

Nah I don't know where it lives now. When we had a look at it it was just a shell with no driveline. But from memory it had a hilux diff to go with it. They guy selling it also said he had a Cosworth motor "stored away safely"

hey mate, would like to say that you have one nice mk1 there.
was just woundering what kind of seat that ypu have in your Escort, cause they look like they would hold you in very good.

and why do all the good Escort's have to be in different states, you dont see very many Escort's in brisbane, always somewhere els.

Thanks mate i'm pretty happy with it
its a kit bought from hoppers stoppers think they are in vic, they are 290mm vented and cross drilled with twin pot calipers.
still in need of a pedal box to get full use out of them, not working 100% just yet. wrong master cylinder size and bias aint right yet.

still in there for the moment probably have the cossie on a stand for lil while, put braided hoses on chrome as much as i can, then throw it in. Will sell the old motor maybe with gearbox, not sure yet.
Oh probably going to put a decent front end in there as well before motor goes in.

Yeah i already can't wait for the first cruise with all the other guys from the forum !!!

Thanks for the comments all!

Hopefully have it running in a couple of months depending on how much i want to do to the rest of the car to get it up to scratch. ie decent front end, fuel system etc.

Probably need a new gearbox, can anyone suggest any gearboxes(other than t5)? have heard of the supra (w55 i think) and celica 5speed w50 but not sure whether they will be strong enough.

Matt the brakes were 1200 i think from hoppers stoppers for the kit, everything you need to complete it, does require upgraded master cyliner though.

Not real sure what i am doing with the motor/gearbox, if anyone is interested send me an email with any questions/offers whatever...open to anything at this point

Thanks
Luke

Have the gearbox now, got off fellow forum member, also dellow bellhousing mounted up, clutch is a one built locally using a magna extreme clutch can't remember now what its rated at. Panhard rod, possibly a new diff, ford 9" may be overkil..getting the tailshaft shortened, possibly new turbo or highflown T03.

more pics to come...
