Awesome!

You had your picture in the readers rides section of Classic Ford Mag not long ago yeah? And you got towed by Towie over at Penrith towing once? I remember him posting your car on PF saying how nice it was.

Welcome aboard

That is one schmick Corty you have there. I saw it at the recent Small Ford Car Club display day and I must say your attention to detail on the car was amazing. How long did the build take on the car? Do you drive it much now?

Also, thought i'd add, if you check out the 'Coming Events' section of the forum you will probably find some pics of your cars at various events.

This is "Mandy".

It really is a well presented car and done with class too. Congratulations.
Will we see Mandy at CFC6 on 22nd January, or at Motorfest on the 26th January?

WOW!

That is fantastic!... I love it

It takes a lot of guts to paint a car that sort of colour but it absolutely paid off!

The colour it's painted is the original colour (yellow Glo)
same as the interior it's been pretty much kept the same except it's know scottish leather(still Black) the only real cosmetic change was the ride height, the wheels n steering wheel.I set out to make it reasonably the same but just with my touches

Very nice looking car, lots of money and time I bet.

Did that colour ever come out on MK1 Escorts??????

I'm planning on going Yellow and so far thinking of a darker yellow which is the (spit spit) Holden Monaro Devil Yellow. If this is a Genuine Yellow for the Escorts as well as the Cortina's I might go with this. I was going to go the Ford Citric Acid but decided against it.

Hey shannon the wheels are custom dragway billet series db10's 15x6 on the front with 16x7 on the rear a definate stuff around but worth it

71 mk1 the hoodlining is standard moon crater which came my way through my trimmer (Black needle in penrith NSW)early beetle hoodlining is very similar aswell

just wondering if anyone knows of any good forums like this for him to get onto

Nice There is a Ford Australia Forum I think which caters for that model
2007/03/15 20:31:53
Inferno115
really tuff car, its so immaculate all over, how much did the rims set you back?

also heres the link for that falcon forum
http://www.fordAustraliaforums.com/forum/index.php

some alright cortina stuff on there aswell but they mainly have a majority of stuff on the 250 falcon motor from tc onwards
2007/03/15 21:13:50
Kpato1971
hey inferno don't know how much the rims were cause they came with it but have a feeling their going to make way for some mod big wheels it's also going to be lowered a further 2 inches,

At the moment it's running a 250 with a c4 backing it up down to a 9 inch, there's talk of a 289 or 302 being dropped in her. for know the paint n everything will stay as is until i talk him into a rebuild a few years down the track
2007/03/16 17:03:50
lucas
what modern wheels are you lookin at getting for it. looks cool as it is real tuff cruiser.
