Escort Fuel tank question

Has anyone fitted a mk2 escort fuel tank to a mk1 escort ?

Thanks Peter,
I have saved the tank bkts off a mk2 , so I a can weld them in if it looks ok.
I am trying to get the look of the car sitting very low.
