Wouldn't be surprised. I got quoted $7000 to respray my 100 Series Cruiser with the same colour and the original isn't too shabby. I could imagine a rough base could suck up that kind of cash.

I was quoted $12,000 for a "show" finish on my Capri.

But that's easy to say when my paint is in great condition
