esc-078 That is VERY neat. Looks like a lot of work has gone into it. Is it engineered? Is that a approval plate affixed to the inner L/H guard? The engine sits much lower than any other SR20/Escort conversion I have seen. Looks much like a factory fitment from that front on shot. Has the crossmember been spaced out, or the steering rack lowered?
NizcortIt has a custom modified sump.
Phil Looks great mate, well done
jorgan92 Very nice what sort of power?
esc-078 NizcortIt has a custom modified sump. Oops.. missed that bit in your OP. The engine sitting as it is has to be good thing. No doubt it's to do with getting the driveline angles as per factory, which is -3deg (max) from gearbox to tailshaft, and +3deg (max) from tailshaft to diff. Have seen some SR's in Escorts sitting at about -10deg!! In saying that, the SR leans towards the passenger side in factory guise, and yours is flat, which would make the gear shifter lean more towards the driver in the cabin (could be good thing if you like the shifter closer to you). But that's not important, the driveline angles are much more important to get correct. Read the article below for a very simple description on what I'm on about. http://www.streetrodderweb.com/tech/0203sr_drive_shaft_angles/index.html
Paul Dunstan Very nice - VERY clean! Great work!
hak073Really nice car Nizcort. Subtle from the outside but packing a nice punch under the bonnet. The wheels and colour combo really work well together. Very nice. Its making me want to add a mk2 to my collection :)
esky79 Nice man looks good! The engine leans to the side from factory for and sump and pickup jus the way it is designed... Ull still get good pickup having it flattened out not much to worry about...
esky79 which 1 is that man?
