what's you ultimate modified car?

As title if you could build any car with any driveline what would it be?

Mine would be a mk1 capri with the xr6 turbo motor mated to gtr skyline running gear[:x)]

And yours?

I did say I wanted to build a big arched Mk1 Escort with a wild SR20 once but I think the effort the Corty has taken has put that to bed

The ultimate sleeper

Mine would probably be a MK2 RS2000, twin cam, efi, supercharger, fully adjustable suspension, independent rear suspension. Or a really worked over blown 1967 Mustang Fastback with a 427ci V8

My ultimate would be the Hayabusa 3.0L V8 in a bubble arched Mk1 with Supra 5sp Gearbox and a Detroit Truetrac diff. Sounds like an F1 car as it screams past!

I wouldn't say it's ultimate but prior to finding my escort I was tempted to put an imported KLZE ($800) into a 30X ($1200). It's a very cheap, simple and effective conversion compared to most. The Eunos 30X has a mazda V6 that's dimensionally the same as the 200hp KLZE.

But the 30X is a chicks car and most people who own them kick around with V-tec boyz. Nuff said...

Here's an example anyway

The ultimate car?

A pink factory standard looking 1950's Fiat Bambino with a mid mounted 454 ci on transaxle.

A friend has very recently completed a powerful electric motor conversion to his Honda Mighty Boy carry van.

Completely factory standard looking except for the very innocent looking mag wheels.

I am sure it would give most late model V8's a good run for their money.

The disconcerting thing about it is there is absolutely no noise except for tyre and gear noise.

I've been trying to think of my ultimate modified car for the last few days and still haven't settled on only one car. There are too many!

I wouldn't mind a blown Gt40, with the injection hat above the roof line.

That would be nice.

I must say I am waiting for the 2.0l ecoboost to be tuned and put in something local.
