OMG...these guys are looking to sell them as road going kit cars !!! Put a passenger door on it and make sure the space frame passes the torsion test and it should be in business on the road here ....lol

Why does the idea of owning one of them with a 351 Windsor V8 seem like a good idea?
Or maybe even a mid mounted electric motor [:x)]

Mmm. How about an all alloy 427?

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=12379

I really should stop looking at that ford racing crate engine page.

why would you put an escort body on that? seems like a waste of time, i would do a body along the lines of a super car, ie ferrari/lambo style.

because thats not an escort, thats lies!!!! [88]

Is that based on an alloy Cleveland block?

408 is the max cubes for a Clevo.
427 is a big block.
You can buy blown bb V8s from the usa for $5000.

I effing love it!

Sterling, I imagine the idea behind it is to have supercar performance and handling, but still be super cool and not look like a c*ck in a Fezza or Lambo!

I thought it could have been an alloy Clevo block as there is a 7 liter kit available for the late model 5.4litre Boss engines

408 is biggest for a clevo, but that is a 351 windsor stroked to 427.
you can go up to 452 with a windsor if you want,... i mean if funds permit.
where the article goes wrong, is when they say it's based on an FE. this is a 427 FE,...

If that thing were mine, I'd have a 632 cubic inch big block Chev V8 in it.

http://www.jegs.com/p/Blueprint-Engines/Blueprint-Pro-Series-Big-Block-Chevy-632ci-815HP-800TQ-Engine/1321871/10002/-1

There is no replacement for displacement.

There's a place not far from me that'll install a Lexus V8 into just about anything with wheels. The only caveat is that it is for 'race purposes only'.
