Heres a pic of my first escort, sold it about 1996, for $3,500. It was very neat, running a worked 1600, 4 speed, polished ghia rims, de-timbered chrome inside, sold it to a guy in Lugarno NSW. Not sure where it ended up. Auto shell too.
You never know it might be owned by someone on here. One way to tell was I did away with the reverse lights and wired up the blinkers to come on constant for reverse gear. Black vinyl painted roof lining, timber was picked out of the dash and door trims so it was all chrome. The colour looked almost black but was a real dark purple. Had spacers on the front hubs too with extra long wheel studs and a chrome air vent infront of the windscreen.
