Haks Mk1 Escort

I can't remember (or find) if I had a thread for my old bus, so I thought I'd start a new one.

The wife bought me some whitewalls as a birthday present. Finally got around to going and getting them yesterday. I wasn't 100% sure if I should get them, but I'm happy with how it looks now.

This has got to be the best standard escort in Australia. (Not rs, tc, gt etc.) All pictures viewed with pleasure. Cheers.[^]

Heck, that is nice! Is that the original paint??
I love the vinly roof ( but I would wouldn't I lol)

Have you given the single side draft weber anymore thought?? I have mine all running great now and it does sound very nice. Although it was set up for my engine prior to delivery. He used 65 starter, 35 pump, 45F9 idle, 40ex, 200 air, 130 main, 32 choke

Love how original this car looks and the white walls finish it off nicely. They really suit the style of the car. Well done.

The pictures do not show how much of a time warp it is, especially the interior.

Nice thread revival I'd forgotten this one was here! Cheers for all the comments though.
Unfortunately I had to get rid of the whitewalls. They just wouldn't stay white. Shame, I really liked them.

The paint isn't original, its been redone in 2-pack in something as close to the original walnut glow. The roof is the standard tu-tone (I think it was called) and is painted.

I've got the single side draft dellorto 45 that I'm looking at sticking on my orange bomb for use on the track. I'm resisting the urge to modify this one, she's staying standard. Thanks for the set-up info though. I did get some jets and things ages ago, so will compare to what you have there.

This is how she's looking these days though. Not much has changed from above, apart from hubcaps and tyres.

And the inside. This is from 2006, but things are still the same in here too.

Yep She gets wet quite a bit.
On the way to SFS in Melbourne.

In the fog on Barrengarry Mtn at about 1am.

She even tore up the skidpan [:o)]

While we lived in Canberra she was my daily driver to work and back.

Its a shame I can't join you for another trip to SFS PJ, sounds like its going to be the best one yet.
