Winnie, the MK2 Esky

Hi All,
Gave my car a wash and polish on the weekend, so I thought I would post some pics.[:x)]
Picked it up a few years ago from an old couple up the road, original granny driver etc etc. Been using it as a daily driver ever since, with a bit of rolling-resto along the way. My girlfriend doesn't approve of the colour(baby-poo brown, hence the name)[xx(], or the amount of time spent down the back with it or the numerous other projects my father has(MK2 2dr cortina, Mk2 Esky panelvan, mk1 Capri 1600). Here are some of the specs as i think of them:
Engine:
-1600 with stock internals, was originally a 1300 but the old guy replaced it at some point
-32/26 Weber(still not confident with the jetting)
-Bestek electronic ignition(Best thing you could ever buy for a daily driver)
-2lt Cortina radiator
-Air Conditioning, with thermo-fan on the evaporator(pretty rare for a 1600, i think)
-65A alternator, with customer extractors to clear alternator
-Reco'd C3 auto with custom shift(I know!!...but its a daily city driver)
-Single piece prop shaft
-Rose-jointed strut brace

Suspension\Brakes:
-Kmac adjustable roller-tops(again, worth every penny)
-Kmac 24mm front bar and Kmac rear bar
-Pedders front shocks and springs, Monroe rear
-Fully poly-bushed front and rear with Nolethane
-Vented discs and matching calipers on the front
-9" drums on the rear
-Braided lines front and rear
-13x5.5 Hotwire mags

Body\Interior:
-SAAS seats on standard rails
-Custom VDO Vision 6 dial dash
-A\C to eyeball vents, with custom center vent(from a 71' dodge I think)
-Euro dash pocket and matching VDO clock
-Pioneer head unit, 6' splits front, 6x9's rear, 10' sub in the boot
-Steering wheel remote for stereo(again, money well spent)
-Bluetooth mobile carkit
-Custom shifter(standard one hits my knee, as i'm 6'2" tall)
-Window tint
-Cut down 1/4 bumpers(easier than I thought)

This little old lady has had a lot of work done to make her a reliable, comfortable city driver. But soon, oh yes, she will be re-tired and re-born into a weekend warrior [88]....much to my girlfriends dismay!!

Bugger!!...work won't let me up-load, will post pics at home later

Hi Santah,
Yeah, DavO is right, its electronic ignition. Best thing since sliced bread when compared to the old points type dizzy. Never have to set points...ever!!. I just check the timing every couple of weeks and thats it. Do a search for electronic ignition on eBay, make sure search is for items available to Aus, and you should see it.
pics as promised

The A\C compressor is below the alternator, which has been moved up very close to exhaust. Burnt out several Lucas alts before going to Bosch. Hopefully this has fixed it.

This is the old dash I made up. The center gauges are from a MK1 Capri GT. I found some Electro Luminescent wafer-sheet in my travels, and decided to install them over the guages and then put a white dial kit on them. This EL sheet is similar to what some current model cars are using in their dash's......just cut it to wahtever shape you want, hook up some electrodes to the transformer and it glo's!!. Center gauges are different colour to the rest cause the supplier gave me the wrong sheet and I didn't check till it was too late!![:(!]

When I got the tint done they broke all the rear demister bars on the window, so i had to install a 12v fan\heater to demist
