mk1 2dr, new set up

hey all,

couldnt find my old thread so i thought i would give an update on what ive done to my car lately. because of these new laws that have came in i ended up sellin the turbo set up i had, but i had to do something to my car to give it a little more power.
so some mods i have added:
~ quad throttle bodies off a GSXR 750 on angled manifold
~ sierra dizzy
~ running a haltech e6x, module and bosch coil
~ all new fuel lines, braided in engine bay and standard blue fuel line in boot
~ bosch vl fuel pump, carter fuel pump for surge tank (2lr surge tank)with malpassi fuel reg
~ new 2 1/4" mb exhaust with 3" tip
~ new 55amp bosch alternator (hoping it does the trick)
~ got the carpet round heater bowl removed and rust fixed
and got my hands on some clear tail lights final which are mad but dont know if iam going to put them on.

but befor i get it running i want to put a bigger cam in it, convert it to unleaded and custome fuel rail and bigger injectors. cant wait to get it running to see how it goes will be getting it dynno to she how much power she makes. heres a few updated pic's

Looking good mate. That manifold is a good idea - haivng it angled up like that. I'd prob do the same given the situation again.

Keep us posted on how its coming along.

yer putting them up on an angle has turned out good, cause i got told by craig from (extrem custome engineering)that being on that angle, it is the same angle that they are on the motorbikes so if ever they need 2 act like a motorbike they will, so that was a bonus.

2lt_scort: i put the dizzy in fits sweet and has even gave me more clearence between the manifold cause i was having clearence issues with the old dizzy, so thanks heaps for that.

all i got to do now is to work something out with air filters, dont know what iam going to do yet

Sweet looking set-up can't wait to here how it compares to the old one you had. Love the clear taillights too. Where did you get them from? I'd love a pair for mine when it's finished.

i got mine from a guy that was selling his escort that i was thiking about buying, there were sitting in the boot and iam like if i dont buy it do u want to sell the tailights to me and he said no. a few weeks later i got a call from him saying i could buy them so i was like sweet.

i thinkin you can get them of a webite in England cause i think i sore the website on this forum.

hey guys,

just thought i would post some progress pics up, just been slowly gathering the parts i need still a lil while to go but should be wired up within the next two weeks as my brother wants me to get it running.

but still have to mount my fuel system in the boot but just focusing on the engine bay side of things, have all fuel lines under the car and have all fuel lines for the engine bay just need to be conected, and get some new hose for the tb's

also finally got a fuel rail made after a very long time, but will keep use posted later on when its almost finish and running

Looking good, what are the filters off? Wil lyou be running the battery in the boot now? Or does it still fit in the engine bay?

2lt_scort: the filters are K&N filters (rc2580) they were a tight fit but the miss everything in the engine bay, i would say the battery would still fit but iam running it in the boot so it looks neater.

smokenjoe: i bought the T/B off a guy off the forum with the manifold, i got told the manifold was meant 2 fit straight on but that wasn't the case. but i got craig from extrem engneering to do the bends up for me and make it fit. wish i just got one made up from scrach.

Rhys where did you get you silcon hose from and what size is it? cause the cloest size ID i can get is 2inch but i thing i can get that to fit.

will have everythin in the engine bay connected on Tuesday, so ill post pic up when its in there for good
