Monster Transmissions

Avoid buying from Monster Transmissions. I purchased an Aod with a shift kit and higher stall converter. Took 3 months to get it and it didn't shift correctly. Had a warrantied tranny shop look at it, as per warranty and agreement with Monster. Found debris in pan. Monster said ship it back to them, $500 on my tab, and they would fix it. Would not allow certified tranny shop repair it. Tranny shop felt the valve body was the problem, $200 replacement. I said do it.
After pulling the valve body, they found metal debris. After complete tear down, Monster had installed used clutches with metals that had gotten so hot, they rainbowed. The clutch plate was not machined but hand sanded. The torque converter was stock and so old it was decentigrating internally, depositing metal thru the system.
Monster denied all, even after pictures and descriptions from the tranny shop. Monster said they were happy to warranty it but why take a chance on getting another turd in return.
Go to Brooksville FL better business Bureau (bbb) and read about Monster. I'm not the only one. I purchased mine in Jan 20, about the time the complaints began.
Find a local tranny shop and spend local. Your warranty will be worth the paper it's written on. I lost $3k thru monster. Look them up. Pass this around. Don't buy from Monster!

ALWAYS BUY LOCAL : no brainer
Even better if you can buy from a local expert who talks
to you face to face and u can read ea others body language.
Easy to get any problems sorted if they should arise!
